Inspired by the historic Bawbee coins once minted by the last of Scotland’s independent royalty, this finely detailed sterling silver coin pendant features the Latin motto “No one provokes me with impunity” - a powerful declaration of resilience and protection. A timeless piece of Scottish coin jewellery, it carries both historical meaning and timeless elegance.
Made in our London studio, the silver pendant is suspended from a fine chain and designed for everyday wear as a meaningful talisman necklace. While original Bawbee coins featured the initials of reigning monarchs, you can engrave your chosen initials on either side of the iconic Saltire cross.
The Bawbee also holds a place in traditional Scottish culture, referenced in the well-known nursery rhyme “Ally Bally, Ally Bally Bee”, connecting the piece to generations of shared memory and folklore.
