About Daniel Dower BA(Hons) FGA, DGA
Since graduating in 1987 with a degree in jewellery design, Dan Dower has gone on to become a prominent figure in the British jewellery industry. A member of the National Association of Jewellers and Freeman of the Goldsmith Company and City of London, today - he is one half of the creative force behind leading British jewellery brand Dower & Hall.
Specialising in handcrafted jewellery and bespoke designs, Dan is an exceptional craftsman with over 25 years experience in the trade. With a natural eye for detail, he has created many original collections that have gone on to be featured in both national and international press, high profile fashion shows, film and television. The brand is now coveted by celebrities worldwide.
The first Dower & Hall Precious Jewellery was launched in 2001. To this day it still features stunning, unique pieces made from luxurious 18ct gold and platinum that have all been made by Dan. A fellow of the Gemmological Association of Great Britain, Dan is a qualified gemologist and his creations are often set with the finest of precious stones and the famous, rare Tahitian and South Sea pearls. In 2007 Dower & Hall were awarded the winner’s trophy in the esteemed Perles de Tahiti ‘The Song of the Stars’ award for their Tahitian pearl and 18ct gold Waterfall necklace.
All of the precious jewellery is handmade to order by Dan. He and his small team of award-winning jewellers use traditional methods, like carving designs by hand directly out of wax or metal, alongside state of the art computer aided design to produce pieces of the highest quality which will last a lifetime.
